I had a set realtors on my 400EX and hated them. They were so heavy!!! Really suck up the power.

They are heavy, they hook up good... They do not vibrate unless you are on really hard, hard-pack or pavement at low speeds. On the trail they do not vibrate.

If you have the HP to turn them, they are a long lasting, good tire.

I have Realtors on my 97 Banshee and love them. I've had Holeshot XCT's, Bandits, and the stock Dunlops. Realtors have been the best all around tire for me. I ride trails, alot of slag hill climbs, and in the snow. My banshee will do in excess of 80 mph and they don't vibrate at all. I have found that too much slime (puncture protectant) in the front tires will give quite a vibration above 3rd gear.

Others have mentioned mounting them backwards for snow or mud. Which way do you have yours mounted?

Thanks, Jeff

I have a 98 Banshee that is pretty hopped up including polished/ported engine, coolhead, drag pipes, air strykers, etc.

I ride mostly in sand, but have to travel along a paved road and a hard-dirt road to get to my riding spot. Because of this, paddles are not an option and my Holeshots don't hook up well enough in the sand when I eventually arrive at the "hill."

I have also thought about running a set of Realters backwards in an attempt to "hook-up" in the sand, but also be able to ride on the pavement.

Any advice on the Realter for my situation? Or, do you have any other tire ideas that might work for me?

Thanks!

I posted earlier about having Realtors, I run them in the dirt direction. I have the intention of swapping sides with the tires to reverse the direction for snow, but I haven't found it necessary. I've ridden in 6 inches of snow so far and haven't required any more traction. Don't get me wrong, when I'm in the power hard it spins. But I've found if I'm in the next higher gear than I would be on a muddy day, the bike responds excellently.
