Default 05Grizzly will not go over 24 mph??????

I went out last weekend, went through a deep mud/water hole in 4wd with the diff. lock on. when I came out, I shut off the diff. lock and went back to 2wd, and the grizz would only do about 24 mph wide open. Tried going back in and out of 4wd / diff. lock multiple times. I drained a little water out of the clutch housing right away. The clutch doesn't slip, takes off normal, just won't go fast. Anybody know how to fix this. The last 30 miles of the ride wasn't real fun!!!

It's the rev limiter kicking in. Mine did just like yours. It turned out to be a electrical connection had come undone. It's on the left side down on the front side and mounted on the outside of the front differential. It's between tire and the plastic near the differential. It's a black plug that easy for something to catch it and pull it apart. If this happens it breaks the circuit and makes your bike thing the rev limiter is on. Look good and you"ll find the plug and if it's not apart unplug it and clean it out and blow out any water or dirt and let dry. Good luck
