My new 700r sounds as if its Pinking, has anyone else has problems with the timing on these engines or is it me.

The bike is standard and has done about 50Km, with the standard exhaust all I can hear is this noise form the engine. I am going to get a timing light but the manual doesn't say if its adjustable.

 

if i understand what you mean ..
you can "time" your bike by doing this .... on the throttle cable theres a little black cover this "its rubber" right by the throttle you take that off and there will be a little wheel thing just play with it and u can adjust it
