I have been waiting close to a decade for this day! I walked into the dealer this morning and ended up walking out with a new Kodiak.. got a good deal, I couldn't go wrong.. so far i like it a lot! Haven't gotten to take it for a long ride yet.. but just kicking around the yard it has good power and a solid feel. It growls..
Any other owners out there? How you do you like yours?

Congrats on the New Ride!
I have the same quad - color too.. I love it.. It has alot of torque and can hang with the big-bores (except in the speed department) but 75% of my riding is trails that you can only do 20 on anyhow... and rocky / muddy trails. I personally like the stock tires - they do pretty good. They climb anything I want and I have gone up some challenging terrain. Are they good in the mud.. nah not really but a little throttle usually cures that.. and if not.. I winch out.. no biggie.. I will probably save up over the winter and get new tires ... I am wanting the Bighorns from Maxxis...
Unfortunately I dropped mine off at the shop this morning to get repaired from last fridays roll-over... (see profile pictures) but I have insurance and the dealer already told me new front fender, new racks all around, and something with the alignment...
Yes it does "Growl" AKA Vibrate down at the right floorboard.. it is Normal so don't worry about it... Also you might get oil into your air-box. The crankcase ventilates into the air box per EPA greenies, so that is normal, dealer confirmed that today.
Do me a favor and check behind your Right side (passenger) side tire and see if there is a cover over the Rear Master cyclinder. The cover is black and covers the rear master cylinder cables from the Foot pedal and provides protection for the drive shaft. Mine didn't have it... it should have as the dealer said he will get one and put it on no charge.
Well good luck!

You will love the Kodiak. I have had two and still have one and a Grizzly 700EFI with the EPS. (Electic Power Steering). I wll tell you the Kodiak will go anywhere the big bores go. None can out run me in the woods. Only on the drag race.

Congrats NeWf, mine is an 05 or 06, now I can't remember. But, great ride. Do not park with gas in carb. Run her dry when putting it up. It's not tooo difficult to clean the carb, but why bother for a 45 second shut down?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I love my quad.. i have 150kms on it so far. CrazySteve: i was looking at your pics and was wondering what piece is that master cylinder cover.. is it the big plastic piece in the pic? I also feel your pain about rolling your ride.. mine went head over heels last weekend when i hit a washout. Quad wasn't hurt badly, but i the racks are made of butter.. they bend so easily it's crazy. The back rack was pushed down a bit and bent around my leg haha. The handlebars were pushed down but not bent.. just some readjustments and some scratches. I'll get over it.. just enough damage to get the new quad smell off hahah. I got the rack bent back with a press so it looks new again. Can't wait to get out on it again..
