Best Raptor Exhaust Available!

I'm flippin' here people. Need some advice, (based on real experiences, please) on the best exhaust available for the Raptor. I've researched too long now and need to gain the edge of modded shees. The FMF struck me as nice lately, until I found that the "loud" version (which I assume is the race silencer) was on backorder. The Big Gun looked good, but then there's the recent experience of a Sparks system. Now, I see the post about the Yami slip on. Spend my $500 wisely, please! The ONLY thing that'll help now is ACTUAL COMPARISONS. Any info, even dyno on Yami slip-ons, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ride-out!
P.S. - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

first of all don't ever by a big gun. they are junk they're not worth the money you spend for them. if you're thinkin to buy a big gun then keep your stock one. I personally would go with the Curtis Sparkd pipe it is the best out there right now. without a doubt. Curtis Sparks's pipe for the raptor adds just what you want with a nice finish to it. it looks nice it's well built. The bottom line is it's the best pipe out there on the market

I have heard good and bad about the big guns, I wanted a complete pipe and silencer. I heard the big gin is VERY loud and the only other choice that is actually available in a complete system is the dmc alien & ct which are butt ugly! Fmf isn't out yet, sparks I have given up on after being on their waithing list for over 2 months! I ordered a yoshimura full race titanium exhaust, expensive yes but in my opinion the best out. The big gun CLAIMS a few more hp though.
powroll= still working on it
fmf= a few weeks (don't bother calling/they'll put u on hold for an hour!)
sparks= still having to make them WAIT WAIT WAIT
dmc=PLAIN UGLY but out
dg= haven't heard yet/but not worth is/JUNK and LOUD
big gun= nice finish/price increase due to them adding a spark arrester (this will be the only way it's available/my guess it they want to cut noise!) BUT LOUD, and see many people already reselling them which makes you wonder!
tc= WAIT WAIT WAIT
ct= good increase but UGLY!
YOSHIMURA TITANIUM!!!

i'd look into the DMC for the Raptor. The DMC is the best pipe for the 400EX, so i would imagine it has to be good for the Raptor. I don't think the DMC pipe is that bad looking. Are you looking for gains or looking to win a beauty pageant?

A pipe/filter/jetting is only going to do so much. You'll probably have to go into the motor - cam, piston, porting, etc. to get in the neighborhood of 60HP which is not uncommon for modded banshees. I've spent a lot of time and money messing around with pipes, carbs, airbox and jetting on the DS650, with less gains thatn I had anticipated. You quickly reach a point where you gain no more peak power without going into the motor.

dsEATER is right, the CT pipe will not win any beauty contests, but it does perform well.
Raptorup, I wasted a banshee this weekend on my CT equiped Raptor. I have been riding with this guy for awhile now, He knows how to tune/ride a banshee.
His 2001 banshee has a powercore II/SST pipe system, boyesen reeds, a boost bottle, rejetted with a aftermarket filter.
I weigh 235, my banshee friend weighs 150.
As you can see I have a disadvantage because of an 85 pound weight differance.
Side by side, 1st-5th drag racing on hard pack ground.
3 races, and were side by side to topend, est 75mph. All 3 races same thing. There are alot of good pipe systems out there, and I will not trash any of them, because I have not tried them.
For the money, I think the CT racing setup is a strong contender.
As far as ugly pipes go, I would rather have a pipe that gives me the biggest bang for the buck, and holds together. Nuf said.

I have posted this before but maybe it will be noticed this time. Dustins Advanced 2-Stroke is about 2 weeks from having production header pipe and silencers available to ship. My raptor was used for prototype setup and I know this system performs with significant increases in power across the range. It is very attractive an and the header pipe will be ceramic coated. This unit was dynoed at LRD months ago and if you have further questions call Dustin at 1-503-722-7233. I personally do not see how a system can be optimized to perform better but call and talk to him yourself.
Sorry, I had the area code wrong!!
