Default warrior roll starts fine but electric start doesnt work

I know this has been asked before because I have seen it on the site, but can not find it anywhere. I have a 2000 350 warrior that starts and runs fine if it is roll started but when I hit the start button it gets absolutely no spark but turns the engine over. I've replaced the ignition coil and put a new spark plug in it. I checked all the wires to the key switch and ignition button and both are reading 12v and the battery is fully charged. I've also taken all the plastics off and checked to see if I have a wire grounded somewhere and if I do I couldn't find it. I'm getting tired of roll starting this thing, any help would be appreciated.

because if it's not within spec it may not be picking upenough current to create a spark AND turn the motor

i meant kick it... not to kickstart it ... just kick it or hit it ... usually makes most things work

Oh trust me ive done more than kick it. I figured out though if its running and its good and warmed up if I hit the kill switch it will restart right after it dies by hitting the e-start. If I give it say 10 seconds after ive cut it off it will not start back. Does that still sound like symptoms of a bad stator pick up?

Well, I went ahead and replaced the whole stator instead of just the pick up just to be sure. I put it all on and it fired right up no problem, but I still managed to mess everything up when I put the stator cover back on. It has a crack across the bottom that I have never noticed before and after I rode the bike a while I noticed it was leaking oil pretty badly. So I started cranking on the bolts thinking I didn't have them tight enough because I had just put a new seal on the cover. I rode it a little more and still noticed oil so I tightened some more. Got them so tight I broke two of the bolts, then I realized I had a crack in the cover and that it had been plenty tight to start with. Oh well, looks like im off to buy a tap and die set if I can't find my old one. Or should that be something I take it do the dealer for?
