no.. porting is the permanent removal of material from the jug/head ports to increase airflow to improve performance... changing the size of an exhaust port while the engine is running is a powervalve...

Ok now I get it. So how do the "powervalves" open and close? Is it on the fly like with the trottle or is it controlled by the driver?

the ones on the RZ350 have electronic servos that do it.. some other engiens use gears to do it..

Yeah. I thought it was a good idea, considering the other cylinders with powervalves are the fmf and the trex and they cost around $2000. I figured that I would go the cheap route and see what the results were.

Just got them at my house and I can't wait to build them and get ready to put them on my quad.
