Default Wolverine Shifting Problem

I have a 2000 wolverine 350 with a problem with the shift lever. Its extremely hard to shift. I have to use A LOT of pressure to shift up or down, and the lever wont return to normal position. I have to push the lever down VERRY hard to engage the auto clutch. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the shift shaft may be binding in the case.
Try loosening the sidecover case screws and retightning them.
If it has been wrecked or someone stomping the shifter the shaft may be bent.
