Default winch mount pics and part #'s please

I have been looking for a winch mount and pictures for a 1994 Yamaha Timberwolf 4x2..
Dealer said Timberwolf does not have a winch, I told him I wanted to add 1 he had no clue and was no help. also he does not carry a good selections of grips either.

So does anyone out there have a winch on a 4x2 Timberwolf and can show a picture of the mount and the winch and how it is attached?

If all else fails I can maybe get one made

thanks in advance

I'm not sure if your Timberwolf is even remotely similar in the front area as my '03 beartracker but I built my winch mount and fairlead mount myself and can give you the dimensions.

I didn't want to spend the $ and I had some steel lying around. Most of the people I asked regarding putting a winch on my 4x2, they would reply WTFF?

I will post the dimensions tommorow for you. It was very simple to make and if you want I could even mail you some u-bolts for no cost if you can't find any.

Thanks
I forgot about photobucket

I will look forward to the dimensions if you have drawings would be appreciated.

it sucks that our closest dealer is 90 miles round trip and they don't carry anything for older models.
So I will make or have a friend here make it more than likely instead of me.
he has the metal and the tools.
Thanks again

Whatever you decide to do or whichever winch you use, make sure you use a mini rocker set-up on the bars rather than some monstrosity switch. It's cleaner looking, easier to use and looks professional.

The Champion winch brand new was only $60. It's a low grade winch, but I didn't need a super duty winch for this ATV. The Warn mini rocker I bought locally and the relay box I built. I can give you the plans for that as well if you like or I can even build it for you.

Cheaper the better, this old fart does not have a lot of money

that's why it's a 94 timberwolf LOL
but it does what I need it to do

I will go the way you did it looks really good clean install

I was looking at the venom 2000# winch kit has mini sw. for handlebars and a plug in hand held job.
it was 69.000 + 31.000 shipping about a 100.00 total
like you said before, people say wtff why a winch on a 4x2 well if stuck why not
I have seen a lot more 4x2 than 4x4 but I see a lot of older people riding the old stuff.
I don't do crazy shi T anymore LOL well try not too
sounds like with your plans I might have a winch on that beast, thanks

You guys in the USA (and I'm assuming your in the US) have a lot more selection than us here in Canada. Then, anytime we want to bring anything up here we usually get raped in taxes, duties and shipping.

I also am into bullseye target shooting and I have to jump through hoops to do anything with my handguns. Now if you want to talk about getting firearms stuff from the USA, forget it. The rules will bury you. The carry permit I have is only valid in the USA, but the trouble lies with getting it to and from there.

Sorry to go off on a tangent and rant. It's been one of those days.
