700 Grizz, cracked footwells
-
My '07, 700 only has 1200 miles and 2 1/2 months on it, and both sides of the footwells/floorboards are cracked on the lower outside lip. I suspect it's from standing on them through rocky sections of road. I weigh 300 pounds, so that might be a factor. The factory hasn't said whether they would replace them or not, yet.
I figure that with the new ones, or the old, I'll just take a piece of quarter inch thick ABS plastic about the size of a ruler and JB Weld it to the lip. This should give it about five times the strength of the 1/32" thick (I'm guessing) stock one.
Anybody try that?
