what are the best mods for the price?
I don't know how everything will work out with the insurance, but I will still owe around 700 or so after insurance pays it off, but the dealer said they will try to work with the insurance company and me to try to get me a good deal on a new quad. I'm eyeing an '07 predator, they only want $3900 for it. They also have an '06 raptor 700R left over that they said they would give me a hell of a deal on. Thanks for the concern everyone, but my main goal is to get back to work, and get a new quad. I'll just remember to not let the wife drive it, and if she does, it will be on level ground. hahaha

Well guys, I found out today for sure, the raptor is totaled. I can get an '07 predator special edition for $4600 after tax and title, or an '07 raptor 700R for around $7000 after tax and title, so it looks like I'm gonna be a polaris guy now. I'd still rather have the yamaha, but I can't argue with the price, and I like Polaris anyways. I sure will miss that little 350 raptor though, it was a great little quad. (As long as everything goes ok with the insurance company, I still haven't talked to the adjuster yet).

You could get another Raptor 350 for the price of that Predator. Not trying to bash Polaris, but you may want to do some research on Predators before you buy one. I haven't heard a lot of good things about the Predator. My buddy took one with him on our trip to West Virginia and one of his rear hubs stripped out so that only one wheel would pull. The one and only local shop could get a hub for (yep you guessed it!) a Yamaha, but it was gonna take a week to get the Polaris hub and it cost twice as much. Not saying Yamahas don't break, but it's just something to think about.

well guys, I got the predator today. I'll tell you guys what, that thing is FAST!!! It almost seems like it could use a larger front sprocket, it seems to be geared really high. It seems to lag a bit in the higher gears on the low end. If I hit the throttle from the lower end of the midrange rpm's in 1st or 2nd, it will stand straight up on the rear wheels if I were to hold on it. I can't wait to get the engine broke in a bit to see what it can really do. It was almost a challange to get it in the bed of my truck with the high gearing. That is one thing I liked about the little 350 raptor, it would climb very well due to it's extremely low gears.
