Default Blaster problem

Just did a full rebuild

Piston 60 over
Jug 66.63
Gaskets
Seals
Crank with bearings and seals

I put all together. Started 1st kick. after a while when i give it gas, it hesitates. I also ran a compression test on it and i get around 90. I tightened the nuts on top sum, which i think they are over 20 ft.lbs would that make it lose compression also if they are overtorqued? i get around 100-110 now when i tightened them. Then the compression will leak down to around 90 psi within a minute or so. This is the 1st rebuild i done to it. Also i would like to know what i should maybe jet it to due to it being 60 over? When i hit the gas fast it hesitates. I thaught maybe because the gas is 2 rich but i put new gas n oil and mixed it at 32:1.
Any ideas or any help would be appreciated. I checked the reeds they seam to be fine no cracks and they seal well.
Also is the jug bored out over for being 60 over that 3 thousands?

I also cleaned the carb out many times to make sure nothing was in the jets.

You compression sounds a bit low. Did you re-jet the cab after the rebuild? You should increased the size of the main jet and may need to change the needle position.

I meant needle position and you are wrong. The needle position has a lot to do with his problem. I had the same problem after rebuilding my sons Blaster. I called the ATV race shop that did the machining work and they told me to move the clip on the needle down one position. The Blaster ran like a champ after that.

The only thing you're going to find out by doing what you are suggested is if the main jet is set right. At wide open throttle you are all main jet. It will tell you nothing about the low and mid range circuits.

lol, hey bushwacker, not to be an ***, but i think you meant..... "the needle's position" .... and yeh, it could be that...better yet, 'check the position of the needle, you might have to move the clips around' <--- idiot proof =-)

i just rebuilt my stock blasters carb. i dont know the specs on your bike but im guessing the oil injection is gone in favor of teh block off plate. this is extreamly importan to know. when i did the oil block off i had to lean my main 230 needle out one notch nad make sure you get rid of teh terrible TORS. the tors when i quits causes massive head aches yo u can get a kit from pretty much any place on ebay.

problem1 check your plug now, cover in oil smells of raw gasss? when you rev it do you get a lot of smoke.... situation would be too little air tooooo much fuel.

solution- your bike demands alot more air now that it is punched out. try getting the bike to idle and run with the carb air cleaner off do this in a clean non dusty location duh! if the bike runs like a raped ape check the exhaust for alot of smoke if its smoking to hell you can def lean out. if you put the air box back into play and the bike runs okay in low speed but seems to flatten out in the higer rpm. take the lid off the air box!!!! and try it you should be running a better on carb filter any ways! stock airbox choke the hell out of teh blaster!

now if there not a lot of smoke be sure to make one hot pass nad pull the blug if its ashey or white do not ride the bike you are in dyer need of more fuel!!! buy a jet kit just in case but you can lower the clip on the stock main jet needle this will richin the bike a little. chances are this will cure your problem.

like im saying 2 stroke bikes will never be a hop and ride deal. you took your bike to the next level you have to make sure you complete the that level. you cant just modify the motor and do nothing to the fuel system. pending on how your diagnostics tool looks.... aka your spark plug you have to make adj from there. read your manual understand teh carb and each of its jets. once you have a firm idea of how to troubleshoot your secenario you will be set. GET LIKE 5 PLUGS FOR TESTING YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CARRY BACK UP PLUGS FOR BLASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NGK BKR8ES I THINK IS HE NAME!

just my .2 im new

btw..pressure will vary depending on battery power ..the slower the engine turns the more air sneeks by before tdc
