Thanks Klier!!!

Kinda off topic but did you have to do anything to your suspension for those jumps? I find the stock suspension pretty hard. I'm still too chicken to hit anything higher that like 6 inches...hahaha

I'm running all stock suspension. I've heard anything after about 65 feet and you want to be sure to upgrade. Friends of mine with stock suspension have flown 70-75 feet, and all is still well, IF you land perfectly on the downside. If you case jumps at that length, be prepared for swingarm, axle, shock, wheel, and spine failure.

One friend of mine bent two rims and bent an aftermarket axle casing a 75 foot triple at Jordan during a supercross race. He also needed to ice his foot afterwards. Playing the video back in super slow motion shows all the plastic on the quad basically folding straight down as if it just melted. It hurt.

It took me a while to work up to the 55 foot jumps I'm taking now. There are quite a few tracks near me that offer open practice 6 or 7 days a week. We also have a private track nearby where I live. Find a track that is near you that has a lot of tabletops and just start feeling comfortable with your quad in the air. Keep the gas on off the lip of the jump. Learn where you are best balanced on the quad. Keep even pressure on the footpegs. Start small with the jumps and add a little gas each time until you clear it. Repeat with another jump.

You will be amazed at how much you progress in one summer of doing this.

yeah i watched the videos a couple of times and read through that whole thread.

they make it look simple but then come to find out you need to unscrew the rear brake fluid tube cover and move that to the side to get to the throttle cable cover and long with a few other things.

I also had to cut the tiewrap that held the sensors so that I could discnnect them from the hardness. Made it alot easeir though to get to everything.

BTW, I also bought an aftermarket fuel mixture **** kinda like the Zip Ty but was the white bros. model. Makes it a little easier to adjust.

I've never messed with any of the suspension settings except for sag, which was actually very close to what I needed stock. I've never messed with any of the other carb adjustments either.

The Dr. D exhaust looks nice. I've heard good things about those systems. Be sure to post your first ride report.

That pipe looks pretty sweet. The difference between stock and new pipe w jets is HUGE! I have had my pipe for two days and I can't ride enough. I was kinda disappointed though, the pipe they sent was different than the picture, but I called CT and they said there was no performance difference they just changed the look. The tube leading into the canister is not expanded it is same size as the header pipe. I ordered it from phil's cycle in oklahoma, I guess they had it for so long the design changed. I was so excited i bolted it right on changed the jets and took off. Didn't realize pipe was different until after first ride. can't really send it back now. Oh well I'm sure the difference is so minimal it probable doesn't matter. Another big difference is the sound, new pipe is LOOOOOOOUUUUDDDDDD!! stock is around 83 db new pipe is 101 or so, but tunable. I pretty much have to idle out of the neighborhood now, any gas and pictures start falling off the wall. thanks for all the help guys.

Awesome. It was all smiles from me and my friend after we put our pipes on. They were both new machines... Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

Ride safe!
