Confused on what to go with??

i have brand new pro circuit 304's, boost bottle, reed spacers.And pretty much stock besides that..for sake i still have the stock airbox lid.K&N of course though..

 

I would leave the crank a lone for now and go with the Cheetahs. Shaving the head is a fairly cheap mod that will work wonders. A port job will help a lot, but you probably don't have time for the porting by Thanksgiving. A good port job will turn that Banshee into a monster! Or you could just ride it like it is and be happy, because no matter what you do, there will ALWAYS be somebody faster! But, whats the fun in that, right?

 

I would definetly go with the cheetah cub cylinders, and ask the shop if they can get the porting done by Friday so you can break it in friday night for Saturday.

I mean if the shop can do a good job it shouldnt take more than a couple of days if they are not too far behind.

 

you will be amazed what right jetting and exhaust will do.... but as for mods i would do porting, heads, carbs in that order the crank should be fine

 

if i were you i would give up cause the only way your gonna take that yfz by thanksgiving is if you are doing a top end race and he hasn't messed with gearing at all..

Quick bang for the buck would include a drag timing key thats 7 degrees advanced and have the head shaved .030 (pump gas ok) by someone that is qualified. You will be amazed what this will do for your mild combo. Porting and inframe drag pipes would be on my to do list as well. Regular pipes leave way to much on the table. Wait until rebuild time before adding the crank.
