Default Blaster Troubles

I brought out my 2002 blaster the other day so i could ride it on the frozen lake by my house. I went to start it and it started on the second kick but ran really bad for about 2 seconds and quit. After that i have not been able to start it at all. the last time i had it out before that i got into some mud with it, but cleaned it when i got home. I replaced the spark plug, and the air filter, and i also took the carb out and cleaned it out real good. I'm now stumped on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Matt

Did you get it locally? IE: If so then jetting isn't an issue. Has it been sitting for a while? If so the pilot and main jets could be gummed or plugged up. Make sure you clean out "all" of the holes in them with a fine wire and air. If you can't blow through them, there's a problem. Also, when washing you could have got some or part of the electrical wet, doubhtful but check around for wet or bad connections.. Try starting it with the petcock on reserve to see if there's a difference (petcock prob) Pull the plug out and check it again... If it's fouled replace it. Check for spark. Put the plug in the coil wire cap, hold it to the frame and see if you have spark. You could also pull off the plastic stator cover and see if any water got it it? Water can short the stator sometimes. Wipe out the excess and plow compressed are to dry the rest of it. If you find water, order and install a a new rubber seal. There's also (2) rubber plugs there. Make sure those are in place too. If that all looks okay, , remove the air filter and using a trigger spray bottle, trigger off a couple spray's of fuel into the carb, kick it, If it fire's off, it's probably a fuel delivery issue...

Default Blaster Troubles

I last rode it in september, and it has been covered sitting behind my shed. I have already checked stator and flywheel, both look ok. I am getting a spark and i know that i am getting fuel because when i pull out the spark plug it is coated in gas and oil. I run a 32:1 mix and i have installed the block off kit. i took off the air filter and tried the spry bottle thing and i did nothing. I am simply stumped, the only thing i have left to try is make sure there is no block between the air filter and the carb. It was covered, but it was outside and the chipmunks around are area are tricky, they managed to get into are camper and hide about thirty puonds of aorns in there so thats about the only thing i can think is that it may not be getting any air.

Default Blaster Troubles

have you checked your reeds......it only takes about 10-15 min ......if one of them is cracked it could cause it to dump to much fuel and not letting it start
