Yeah, crush gasket is in good order now, still waiting on my new header studs, then I have to pick up some nuts for them, and I can get the header back on. I can't decide if I want to leave the heat shield silver or hit it with the textured black paint, but after seeing yours, am leaning towards keeping it silver and hitting it with some clear coat as well.
After looking at your pics again, I see the issue I am having with the oil cooler. My current setup has the fairlead real close fitting to the lower bar on the bumper where yours appears to have a goo couple inches of clearance.

On a sad note, I finally got the HMF pipe that I ordered, but came across a small issue. I ordered a black chrome pipe, and was REAL excited to see how it looked when my girlfriend opened the box this weekend (afterall, this is her quad). Box opens, and there I see a brushed aluminum finish pipe. I could have killed someone, I was so out of my mind pi**ed off.

Sometime soon I need to get the 424 ordered so I can get it in place before the reassembly starts. I see a place on Ebay has them for $295 shipped, best price I have seen yet...

Well I found the 424 kit for $270 shipped, hopefully they are a legit place... That got me to looking at my front driveshaft, I may be stuck replacing that as well, the one boot was not in the proper place covering the splined section of the shaft. Splines are pretty heavily rusted, going to work on it today and see if it will come apart or needs replacing.

The correct pipe FINALLY got here yesterday, intake is ready to go on, and brake pads should be here any day now. One day this thing may roll out of the garage and be ridable..

update: Pads are here, I can now put the calipers all back on, and start reassembly. WOOOOO

I have read about your big plans for the near future, looks like some awesome upgrades, I am sure you will be impressed. Right now, I am looking forward to making this thing run again at all!!! I am dying to get this thing finished, what a feeling that will be. This quad seriously has not run since the day I brought it home lol

Very excited, had to update. Fired it up last night with the pull start, still no plastics on. sounds great with the pipe! Warn 424 kit arrived today, crazy fast shipping Now I have to wait for new boots for the driveshaft, they were pretty well toasted. Brakes are all on and bled out, still have to finish welding on the winch mount before final assembly.

I also made up a little recovery point for the rear axle with some flat stock and a clevis, because my hitch idea would not work with the PRM swinger skid. I will toss some more pics up later.

26" ITP Mulite XL's on ITP SS 112 wheels. 2" lif in the rear only to level it out. lots of new parts from skids, axle, hubs, bearings, seals. Currently running a Wiseco high compression piston, Warn 424, full skids, home made recovery point on the rear axle and everything else I probably already stated.

I am actually currently fighting issues with the Warn 424 not locking in 2wd, it will just slip back to 4. Also having problems with the rear brakes, can't get them to bleed out and there is a metal sleeve missing so the caliper just shakes around on the axle mount...
