Default Grizzly 700 Clunking in rear end ??????

I have a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly with 1200 miles on it. Today I started out to ride and I noticed a clicking in my rear end especially when I turn. It sounds like it could be comming from the rear axles or somthing towards the rear wheels. Any idea what this could be? Do I need to replace my rear axle/s?
Any ideas or help would be appreciated. thanks

it does it all the time but you can notice it the most when I turn to eather side. Both ways make the same noise.

I was looking in my wheel wells tonight and there is a plastic thing that goes around my whole rim and both right and left one look bent alittle and I almost think when the wheel goes around it might be possibly hitting somwhere???

10 to 1 that's your problem. you can put the rear up on a jack stand or something strong enough and spin the wheel to try and see where it is hitting. i was gunna say your bearings are bad but since you found this problem i don't think it's your bearings.

so try and do that.

so the clunk could be the wheel bearings if not that plastic thing? is there anyway to check the wheel bearings before I bring this to a shop? and are wheel bearings easy to change?

ROCKETKID you can loosen the lugnut's on the rear wheels , then jack the rear end off the ground ; then remove the wheel's and shake the axle's to see if there is any play in the axle and axle housing !

And if they are indeed bad it should show sign's of gear oil leaking from around the bearing seal's , as well the side to side and up and down play ; and if there are any sign's of gear oil leaking and the loose play in the axle you will know for sure !.............

wheel bearings, cv joints or differential. 1 of these 3 items could be the reason. when was the last time the diff was serviced?
