Problems with Beartracker
#1
Alright. I went out to my shop and got my Beartracker out, took 30 min to start, but ran fine after it started. Then when I put it up, I noticed that the neutral light wasn't working. But the reverse light did. I thought that was weird, so I cut it off and tried to start it back up. Electric start didn't work. The battery is fine. I charged it, and still nothing. I don't know what's wrong. The electric start won't work, and the neutral light won't work. Reverse will though. And from my knowledge, the Beartracker's electric start won't work when the fourwheeler isn't in neutral. So, dang! Help me out here!

did u try unplugging you regulator to see if your neutral light would come on???when i unplugged mine my neutral light would come on and when i plugged it in again it would go off so my problem is somewhere around the regulator....or regulator wires....

There is a wire right above the oil drain plug and the shifter. Make sure that it is plug up or not lose or anything. Also make sure it's not dirty. Try pulling the brake handle when you try to start the ATV. Like you were trying to start it in gear. Let me know what happens.

It doesn't seem like that light not working would prevent the quad from starting. I would not think that the starter or that system would know whether the neutral light is on...seems the quad should know whether it is in neutral to start without having to see the light. I would agree with the last guy and try the rear brake pulled and see if that jumps the problem!
