raptor450- thats and interesting name.. i hope you DONT give yamaha any ideas! im getting tired of them calling everything a raptor and grizzly!</end quote></div>
It's hard to come up with an original name with almost 100,000 users. I came up with that name when I had a Raptor 350 bored and stroked to 446 (450). I'm about sick of the Raptor name also. I even thought about changing my user name to get rid of it. Maybe I could use this one: "TheuserformallyknownasRaptor450"

I just looked at the specs on the Raptor 250. I couldn't find any actual horsepower numbers, but Just looking at the rest of the engine specs (9.5:1 compression, 2 valve head, 29mm carb, etc) I have to say there's no way that motor is really putting out that much. Those specs are very close to what the other machines in it's class have, and somehow the raptor is pushing out twice as much power? Something doesn't add up about this.
If that was really a true number, then the raptor 250 wouldn't be much of a beginner machine, that's damn near the same power to weight ratio as a yfz450.
I'd check your sources on that 28.8 again...
