I have the HMF with the quiet core installed and it sounds good not to loud but alot louder then stock. With out the quiet core it is loud. The power with out the quiet core is better but not to bad with it installed. Eather way much better then stock.

On the sport series, for many atv models, the pipe usually reads 104/105dB opened up, and should be right around 99dB with a quiet core in place. If you need to get down to 96 then you may have to look at a different HMF system (maybe the eco series?) or another manufacturer. HMF definately has a solid pipe though. If you wanted carbon fiber I think HMF may be the best way to go.

We installed a HMF w/ the qiet core on a Z-400 and we thoght it was nice.... a lil pricey but just what we were looking for, not too load, and a real noticable boost in power. we swapped out head pipe and all. it was loader than stock but not so loud that it upset the neibors either(which is a big concern of ours, we ride on some of thier property too... don't want them upset). I don't remeber how much the system was but we got it on a package deal, head pipe and muffler, and was well suited for trail riding expescially since sound is a big issue.

I would add, My brother has the sport series and I have a Ballance series in Carbon Fiber. For some reason mine is noticeably quieter than his, even though they are essentially the same system. These are on the same model quad with mostly the same modifications.
