You're comparing 2 completely different machines. Which is better depends on what you plan to use it for. The magnum is more of a workhorse, slow riding, mudding machine, and the warrior is a faster, sportier trail machine. As far as reliability, nothing beats the reliability of the warrior, and you have way more aftermarket support when it comes time to upgrade it.

ok thank you. i plan on trail riden and a little racing. i have $4000 to spend on a bike. i can get the polaris for $2500 and the warrior for $3000. so i'd still have money for upgrades after i purchase one

Umm, neither of those machines are really worth that much. The average warrior sells for less than $2,000 almost anywhere you go, and an old polaris usually goes for about the same or less depending on the condition.

If you want a good trail bike that can still perform well on the track you should take a look at a suzuki z400 or kawasaki kfx400. The suspension is far ahead of the warrior, they're a good bit quicker, and you shouldn't have trouble finding one for $4,000. I've seen ones that were like new, only rode a couple times, for just over $4,000 and that was a couple years ago when they were still fairly new to the market. Sure, you can buy a warrior and put upgrades on it but honestly it's still not going to be as good of a machine as the z400 is stock. The warrior needs work in all departments to get it performing well. The suspension is weak and too narrow, the power is mild, and the ergonomics are pretty uncomfortable to me.

I'm not saying that the warrior is a bad machine, not by a long shot, but they were designed in the early-mid 80's when sport quads were just starting to come onto the market, so they're nowhere near the technology of the newer machines. You can still have a lot of fun on one, and with deep enough pockets you can get one to go scary fast, but it just isn't cost-effective to modify them when you can get a newer all-around better machine for a smaller overall investment. Trust me, what I paid for my warrior used, plus what I put into aftermarket parts, I could have went straight to the dealer and bought a brand new raptor 700 for the same cash, and my raptor stock performs a thousand times better than my warrior did with all the parts. Oh well, it was only money.

That is a ton of $s for either of those. For that you can get a lot better quads. Could get alomost anything a few years old with 4000$ to spend.

good deal, save the $4000 grand. put it in a savings account you cant touch for 10 years, and you'll be better off.
