This may be obvious but have you checked the exhuast hose on the top of your fuel cap? If air is not flowing through there very well it will do something very similar to what you are describing.

yes i cleaned and checked that. i also tried taking out the spark arrestor and cleaning it but that did no good except that it sounded louder. i changed the spark plug and cleaned the air box and air filter and all the lines including the choke line but still nothing has fixed it. As i said before, the only thing that i can think of now is that it's the carb because thats the only thing i havent cleaned or checked because i couldn't get the screw off. So hopefully the dealer can fix it. :/

good news. the wolvy is finally fixed. i took it the dealer and had them figure it out. justhanginout was right, it was the carb. the dealer had told me that it looked like someone had already worked on the carb and had messed a few things up. i had barely even touched it let alone work on it. all it took was a simple cleaning and it was good to go. oh and the jets were also plugged up pretty bad so thats what mainly fixed it was cleaning the jets but they carb needed a good cleaning and they had to fix whoever had screwed the carb up. i figured it was jus one of those ones out of like 100 that someone gets that the dealer put together wrong or messed up something. but anyways... im glad it's fixed, took it out for a test run and ran like new.

thanks for everyones help, i really appreciated it.

p.s. the hitch i put on mine fits perfectly, even with a diff. skid plate on. there's one screw that is a little hard to get to with a skid plate so i used a universal ratchet and it worked fine.
