'07 Wolvy 350, high idle until shaken
On my last ride before winter I put gas in with stabilizer added. Over the winter I ran it on a few short (15 min) rides. Today it starts right up, but has a very high idle. I turn the choke off and the idle climbs higher. So I shake the bike side to side - and the idle goes right down. Next it won't go into gear, I shake the bike and it goes into gear. I take it for a ride and it runs fine, but about 1 out of 5 times I need to shake the bike to get it in and out of gear. Any idea why?
The bike was run about a month ago and all was fine. No gas was added, so the gas is about six months old - with stabilizer in it. The weather was damp, very damp and about 55 degrees. I'm in central Jersey so altitude isn't an issue. The was bought at the end of the year last year and has less than 20 hours, so it hasn't had any service yet.
