Does anyone own one of these power up kits yet? If so how much change have you noticed. How many horsepower gain does the kit add from stock. What is the cheapest price you have found? Can these new cylinders be bored if the pistons go? How hard are the domes to change? What mix would you run with the 7.5 cc dome? Thanks for the comments.

I think Derekhonda is referring to FMF's kit that has new cylinders for the Banshee making the Banshee a 400 cc with power valves. I am also very interested in this kit. Prior to it's release, I heard it was going to be around $1400. They really didn't have any H.P. figures though. I have an e-mail into FMF. I'll post any info I get. I too would like to hear anyone's input on this kit, or any experience snowmobiler's have with power valves and two strokes.

Thanks,
Lars

I got an e-mail back from FMF regarding the power up kit. It didn't list any prices, but had a H.P. chart showing 59.6 horsepower peak. The area under the curve was even more impressive. The motor had a nice long power curve. FMF also e-mailed the complete installation instructions. (6.5mb-very large file-takes awhile to download) I glanced through the instructions, the only difficult step is removing two of the cylinder base studs from the case to be replaced with the supplied longer studs. Other than that it's just like a top-end job. FMF recomends 35's for carbs. They give jetting, needles, and clip location also.

I helped a freind install the power up kit on his shee about 2 weeks ago and it was just like doing a top end job except you gotta put it together and remove/install two cylinder studs. All I can say for the ride is it is AWESOME....As easy to ride as a quadzilla and tons more power. I also think FMF is being shy about true HP figures as this thing simply flys now!

Streak

P.S. By the way he paid $1500 for the kit so It may pay to bicker a bit. In any case it never hurts to ask!

Wow! Pushing 60 hp that is awesome. Is that reading with stock everything or is that piped and everything? Is FMF gonna make oversized pistons when these kits need new topends? Because aren't the new pistons different from regular wiseco or stock pistons?
