08 wolvy problem plz help
#1
Hello there, I am fairly new to ATV's and their forums. Anyways, I was out yesterday on my first atv (08 wolverine), which was bought 3 weeks ago and we were playing around in a few sand dune areas and I ended up tipping it over on its side :S ha ha ha.. made for a good afternoon.
Anyways, we were on our way home and something didnt seem right. Normally I can get around 83 km/h top speed but I was maxing out at 43 km/h. I was not in 4 wheel drive. We turned it off, put it in 4 wheel drive and took it out of it and that didnt do anything.
It does not sound like its a problem with the engine or anything because its still reving up high as per normal but it seems like its not moving as fast as it should with an engine. The only way I can compare it is to a snowmobile with a stretched belt or something, your motor works fine but the track doesnt as move as fast as engine is going.
Now I dont know much about atvs so I dont know if this is something simple (I hope it is) or if its more serious. I plan on putting into the dealer on wednesday but I am looking for opinions.
Thanks all
