Grizzly 400 squeak from rear differential? New Machine.
Anyone else heard of this? Just bought it today and put about 20 miles on it breaking it in. Towards the end of the day i started to notice this squeak.
It's not the brakes because you can hold the brakes down and move and it still squeaks.
Not the shocks because I can put it in neutral and roll it back and forth and it squeaks 2-3 times in one wheel revolution.
Sounds like it's coming from the middle. I see some plastic looking things sticking out the side of the rear differential. THey are green I think, and are between the diffy and the boot. Could it be those? That's all I can figure. It's not the U-joint. Could it possibly be something even worse inside the rear diffy? It's a squeak so it shouldn't be any gears. What are those platic things and any easy way to lube them?
Edit: Boy I sure hope I don't have a family of mice in the rear diffy. It is a 2008 model so been on the lot for a year darn mice

No. Disk brakes on both tires. No brake in the middle where the noise comes from.
Are there any alimites at all on these Grizzly's? I reckon I should read the manual Shouldn't be squeaking at 20 miles though.

The 2007 Grizzly 450's brakes squeak; get used to it and ignore it. Some have swapped EBC brand brake pads and reduced the racket.
The 2008 model has the wet brake. The 2009 has the wet brake and the redesigned seat.(Thicker, denser foam).
