Default 99 blaster carb problem

on my blaster i have either kehin or trengra racin carb not sure. i believe its 36 or 38mm. i jus bought it and didnt really look at it. but on the stock one i took it apart and there is no main jet, so i guess its in the other one. would that explain the idling problem? it doesnt idle when its warm. its harder to start when temp outside is warmer. fouls my plug durin a ride, usually once. do i need a jet kit? what do i need to change? please help thanks

sounds like its just getting too much petrol , check your jets ,check your throttle slide needle if there is any wear init it will not run right , if there is any wear in your throttle slide needle replace the needle and the slide failing this check your air screw settings and make sure your air filter isnt too heavy with oil . also if its too smokey you might want to turn down the oil pump just a little bit but not so much that you will lock it up

The quad will still idle if the main jet is gone, due to the fact the needle has the nozzle blocked off. It runs on the pilot jet when it is idling and main jet when the needle is lifted off the that base. If you do not have a main jet in it when you give it throttle and the needle raises up man the rush of gas is more than any motor could handle.

the carb i dont use doesnt have the main jet. i think he took that jet and put it in the carb i use now. will that do anything to performance or idling problem, foul problem? it has a tommy exhaust, so wouldnt u need a jet kit for that and for the aftermarket carb?

I don't mean to bash anyone and moderators I appoligize if I am out of line. to the initial poster ( in my opinion) take that Trenga (Oko) and through it as far a way as you can. We had a 38mm and could never get that thing running right. One day it would perform great the next flat on it's face. We hve had massive work done on our Blaster and believe it our not get the most horse out of the stck carb with a little work. So anyone throwing them away throw them my way.

Yes you should be able to buy a jet kit for the 26mm mikuni, not sure what motor work you have had done but we are running a 330 main. It is maybe a little fat but safer
