if you dont have any screwy connections id say you have a weak stator maybe. the engine spins faster when its push started vs the slower turning of a starter. a weak stator wont create a sufficient spark at how fast the motor is turning by the starter. the push start gives it just enough of a spin to make the stator turn fast enough to give the ignition coil a strong enough spark to ignite off of. but im not familiar with your atv and could be something else maybe.

I've been through this recently. I did all the adjustments and wiring checks and had 12 volts and all the things that have and will be mentioned. after all of that, I finally bought a *&%$% Battery and now she starts right up every time. But do check those valves my friend. They need attention once in a while.
