check the vent tube hanging off the gas cap for debris... if that's clean, and the cap isn't clogged... rebuild the carb...

I would check the reeds first.........that has got to be the problem. Warriors always die when the reeds go bad.

If that's not it, check for wires touching the frame, especially at the rear near the CDI where the wire loops around the frame. What happens is the wire rubs the frame until the insulation is worn through, then the bare copper touches the metal frame, grounds out, then the engine dies. I've seen it happen on 2 Warriors.

take apart your reverse shifter too you wouldnt believe how much dirt gets inside of there, theres a little wire that hooks to the back of it and a 17mm bolt on it just take it off and use some sandpaper to get it clean again, its like a little metal button. mine used to have a similar prob, sometimes it would have a hard time starting and it would idle good then just die out of nowhere.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.I love practical jokes! I couldn't stop myself.

Of course Warriors do not have reeds! Reeds only come on 2 strokes! 4 strokes have intake and exhaust valves that are timed open/closed by the cam. 2 strokes do not have intake and exhaust valves, just an intake reed valve that opens when the piston is on the downward stroke.
