Let "raptor450" tell you he is very knowledgable with warriors and has built a few highly modified ones.

How big do you want to go? If you've got to have a big bore, the best bang for the buck for a big bore is JE's 10.5:1 compression 366cc kit for $200. You can buy them from just about anywhere, first place that comes to mind is vito's. This kit will bore the stock cylinder to the max (.080" over), so if you ever need a rebuild after installing this kit you will have to get a new sleeve. For this reason it would actually be better to get a JE (JEpistons.com I think) .020" over piston in a 10.5:1 compression. This is not considered a "big bore", but you aren't going to gain much power from boring it out to the max anyway. The power comes from the higher compression and lighter weight. Wiseco also makes higher compression pistons for the Warrior, but they are heavier than the JE which will rob you of some power. Expect $50 in machine shop fees to bore it out if you take the top end of the engine apart and take it to them.

Don't expect to gain a whole lot of power from this kit. It will help, but not enough to snap your neck.

Four Stroke Tech (fourstroketech.net) makes a true big bore kit for the Warrior. It is a stroked crank and massive piston that punches it out to 446cc. This kit would be about $1500 installed if you did alot of the work yourself, but anytime you mod a machine this much reliability becomes an issue. It is not worth it to put this much money in a Warrior engine. With today's faster quads, just sell the Warrior and buy a Raptor 660, 700 or a 450.

A .120 or .140 woulb be that and a cam. My warrior in sig has a weisco .020 10.25 comprasion ans a hotcams stage one. I know they say web cams are better but i wanted to keep the oem one for what ever and didnt have time to send it off. I went with the heavier weisco piston insyead of the JE because heard of too many problems with JE. I wanted reliability too. and the jug boring and cleaning the head off was$55, piston like $130, and cam $130. if i remember

Its not worth getting a big bore in a warrior, just get a 400ex

I agree 100%. Been there, done that, won't ever do it again. Ride it like it is, when you get tired of it sell it and get something better.

Never heard of JE having a problem with the Warrior pistons, but have heard they had problems with the Raptor 660 .080" over kits. I had 2 JE 366 Warriors and they ran for years with no problems. But I don't know if it's true, but I heard Wiseco bought JE out. Anybody else heard this?

Oh yeah if it's time for a rebuild it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and upgrade to a better piston over stock. A high performance rebuild kit doesn't cost much more than a stock rebuild kit. While you have it apart it would be a good idea to replace the valve seals, they're only like $12 and they can also cause it to smoke.
