Default warrior problems

i have a 2001 warrior, when i start it up it idols fine, but when i try to rev up it spits and sputters.....BUT, when you bounce up and down on the bike it revs up fine and will ride fine until the rpm's are lowered, then it starts again. the parking brake has already been disconnected so it can't be that.
It has been doing this for a while but it was running just fine for about a week and just started again today, so i purchased a rebuild kit for the carb. Any other ideas???

DISCONNECTING THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM THAT WARRIOR HAS A REV LIMITER THAT PREVENTS THE ENGINE TO REV UP WHILE THE PARKING BRAKE IS ON. THE SWITCH THAT ACTIVATES THE REV LIMITER IS ON THE CLUTCH LEVER ASSEMBLY. TRY PUSHING THE MECHANISM IN THAT PULLS THE CABLE FOR THE PARKING BRAKE( PUSH IN THE SAFTY SWITCH) IVE READ ON HERE THAT YOU CAN CONNECT THE WIRES TOO BUT NEVER TRIED THAT)

i read through these forums and everyone is saying that is what you need to do, "disconnect the parking brake". this has already been done before i bought the bike. any other suggestions????

you disconnect the wires and then plug them into eachother, but it seems like maybe you have a carb problem, maybe your fuel bowl is getting stuck or is at the wrong level

you might have a short in the brake light that causes the silinoid to stop produding juice but when you bounce up and down on it it pulls the naked wires apart or you might have warter in the gas hopes this helps and god bless

alright, just put a new carb on, and when i started it, it was still doing the same thing, so i just nudged a few wires behind the battery box and it started revying real high so i turned it off and put them back where they were, now it wont start????

You need to inspect your wiring harness then. Sounds like you've got a wire or two with the insulation rubbed off and they are shorting out.
