holy **** are u kidding...lol the parking brake we were playing around with that trying to put the parking brake on and couldn't figure it out so just stopped messing with it.

as soon as we put the carb back together and back in the we will play around with the brake again. how do we determine if it's enabled or broken ? if it's broken how do we just disable it?

if it was just the parking brake I'm gonna feel like a dumbass

anyways yeah so the air-box had NO filter in it.... I'm definitely gonna have to buy one... i figured there was supposed to be one in there.

so i'm thinking that the inside of the airbox is missing a piece. lets say i were to buy this K&N filter https://www.phatperformanceparts.com...torysingle=YES

how does that install into the box looking at diagram below i mean does that filter slide onto something ? http://partsfinder.onlinemicro...=18&A=258&B=8&Action=O

Yeah there should be one, and I hope it wasn't run without one for long, because that motor could very well be screwed, running with no air filter makes no sense whatsoever, as it allows all dust dirt and mud free entry right into the motor to ruin the cylinder walls. I would not run it again until you get a new filter. The little mechanism just has to be pushed flush with the perch to disable the rev limiter.

No. Its a poor design, really. The filter just sits inside the box and there is a tab on the lid that pushes it up to the intake. If I were you I would just get the Pro Design clamp on style filter kit for your bike. I am ordering one tonight for mine.

You will have to rejet with basically any motor mod--exhaust, air filter, whatever. This is a link to the kit on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Q5fPartsQ5fAccessories

No, you will have to buy a jet kit. You just have to remove the carb and turn it to the side to take the float bowl off to replace the main jet.
