Default Getting a 2003 Warrior and have some questions

Hey guys new to the forum. I'm really excited because on Sunday I'm picking up my Warrior. I'm buying used but none the less very amped to get it. I have a few questions that i'm hoping someone can answer.

2003 Yamaha Warrior 350

is there a Key on the machine ? in other words something to prevent people from using it who aren't supposed to ?

what size headlight bulb goes in it ? One is burned out and i need to replace.

what size spark plug ?

anyone suggest some good tires for woods, trails & snow riding.

thinking about an HMF exhaust... thoughts? pro's cons...

if after getting the exahust does the machine need to be jetted ? I hear a lot of people talking about re-jetting or jetting and to be honest i know nothing about this.

anyone know where i can get a free owners manual ?

anyways thats all i have for now but if someone can write back with some input it would be greatly appreciated.

The key is on the right, actually. the headlights are dual filament bulbs for high a low beams--the easiest thing to do is take one out and take it to your favorite local auto parts store and see if they can match it. D8EA is indeed the correct and most popular plug for these bikes. A great set of all around rear tires that do fine on hardpack as well are MudLite XL's. I have those on my rears and with Razr2's up front I am very pleased with the performance of the quad on all types of terrain--and it won't kill your wallet. HMF is the most popular pipe for this quad, and the spark arrestor is something that a lot of places require to ride at, because it stops the chance of any hot fragment or packing to come out of the tailpipe, and they do not hurt performance or noise or any of that. HMF pipes come with a jet, and to change that you just have to pull the carb off and take the float bowl off the bottom, and then you will see the main jet in the center of the float, it has a big slot in it. Remove that and make sure the new one is nice and clean and place it in, reassemble, and enjoy your new pipe

thank you very much for the info.

so today i picked up the 4 wheeler i rode it before i loaded it and left after purchase it ran great no problems

i drove it in a van upstate unloaded it. it started right up but when you give it gas there was no power and it is backfiring.

tried to let it warm up then tried again and same issue.

we pulled the plug changed it out and the problem still persists

we then pulled the whole carb out took it apart and everything looks good and clean in there. didn't have time to put it back together today. and will work on that this week or next weekend. so don't know if this solved problem

**DO YOU GUYS KNOW OF ANY OTHER THINGS THAT MAY CAUSE THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE ?

-- some things i noticed where that under the seat in the INTAKE AIRBOX there didn't seem to be a filter anywhere is there supposed to be ?

-- also when i picked it up the kid was hosing it off. is is possible he could have gotten water anywhere he wasn't supposed to ? if so where and what do i do to fix ?

Sorry for the long post but i'd appreciate any assistance you guys can provide, im very anxious to get out and ride.....

thanks again ~!!!!

Your park brake is messed up or engaged. The brake has a rev limiter that kicks in when engaged. The mechanism is above the clutch lever, just push it in all the way and it will work. Unless you use it, you are best off to just buy a block off kit for it.

As for the airbox--when you take the lid off, you mean there is no filter in there? If so, thats not good at all.
