Default warrior help

my 95 warrior is dragging while i try to start it. ive changed the starter, battery, even checked the valve lash. are these motors likely to jump time?
when i try to turn it over it drags for about 10 sec (whining sound) then slowly turns over. now it wont even start. ive even tried a car battery with the same result.
any help is appriciated
