Somewhere and it may have been on this forum, someone talked about the relay method. I like that concept. I can see myself forgetting to shut them off when you stop. When you buy the grips does this method of wiring come with the instructions? Yep I see these in my near future.

My dad just put the Moose ones on his Prairie 700 and loves them! They arent really hard to install and they get really hot! He said it also helps take the sore thumb out of your hand too. Just make sure you glue them cause we didnt and they seemed pretty sucure but when you nail the throttle the left one spins.

I suggest the kimpex brand. They arent slide on grips, or the wrap around ones, they are the ones that go inside your handlabar. They are probably the best kind and last the longest. Also if your going to get hand warmers, grab a kimpex thumb warmer. Remember tho, when you install a thumb warmer put it on the back of the throttle, although it takes a couple extra minutes for the heat to go through the throttle the constant pushing that would be on the thumb warmer if it was on the front causes the heating thing inside to mess up. Hope this helps

For some reason I think all I needed to do was spray the bar with WD-40 before I slid the grip on, it acts as a lube, then has a chemical reaction with the grip and glues it into place. You just need to make sure that its going to be lined up where you want it before you start, cuz once you slip it on you are committed! And there should be instructions with the kit, but they are kinda generic, NOT bike specific. It just says to slide the grips on the bars, mount the controller, hook the wire harnesses together, ground the black wire and hook up the positive wire. Its up to you to decide what to do with the extra wiring and how to route it.... get a bag of 4"- 6" zip ties to keep the wires neat and secure. But its easy. I used a test light and probed the wires coming out of the ignition and found the one that turnd on and off with the key. Hooked a wire up to it, ran it to my relay to use as the trigger. Grounded the relay and the grip harness. Then ran a wire from the battery (+) to the relay to the pos input, and a wire from the relays output terminal to the red (+) wire for the grip.
