04 Grizzly 660 Questions!?
#1
Okay so I have a 04 Grizzly 660 and I got water in the automatic belt and now it hits the rev at like 15mph tops. I pulled the drain plug and a bunch of water came out but still won't do more than about 15mph in high range. Do I need to pull the cover off and see whats going on? Please give me some advice! I found where the water is coming from, one of my snorkel hoses had a hole in it.
Also after a little research I found out where my high RPM studder is coming from, Steam? I saw a couple threads about people drilling holes in a cover or something? Mine does this bad when in the mud. Also some advice would be greatly appriciated. -TJay

what you have to do is take you clutchs off and clean them, the "grizzly grease" has came out of the drive clutch when you got water inside. Pretty easy repair but messy. If you take it into your dealer it should only take them an hour to an hour an a half

Cluby,
I think I can do the fix, Just need to get some more details on what to do. So do I need the "Ultramatic grease" Or will the high temp marine grease work? Also Both the front and back clutches? Which numbers in this Diagram do I grease?

I just dont want to grease up a moving part that isn't supposed to be greased and it start slipping again. Thanks -TJay

Yep that's what it's called now. Far as where the grease goes, mainly just in where the weights are, about a spray can top cap full. I put a small amount in the center where it slides on the shaft.
I think you may be better off though if you just take it into your dealer, cann't really mess it up but got the feeling that your not sure about your mechaincal abilties
