got a 99 timberwolf
got a problem wtih it bogging down when you hit the throttle i have cleand air filter ran some carb cleaner?
i notice that if you let off the throttle and then hit it! the engine will backfire throught the carb?
any ideas as to where to look?
adjust?

you problem is carb! 1 of 2 things wrong. (1) carb dirty staving for fuel (2) your air and fuel screw (pilot screw) is out of adjustment.its a brass screw on bottom of carb turn it tell it stops but dont force it back off 2 3/4 to 3 turns out that should be right.another hint if its poping thats a sign of loading up which means to much fuel stand behind bike while ideling does it burn your eyes out or smell rich if so then its to rich and its you pilot screw out of adjustment

goto bikebandit.com, use the tool to select your year make and model then click aftermarket parts. choose fuel/air and it will list all the carbs new for that make and model. my carb is 95 bucks brand new. i will be getting one of these units with the tax return.
