sandwizards.com/tips&tricks - you can download a free manual to tell you how to check everything. You will need a volt/ohm meter to do the tests. Just make sure the manual is the right year for your's, the ohm readings could be different for different years.

 

i would put in new crank bearings and then do a HMF pipe, Weiasco piston, cam or just rebuild it all stock.
