Default Warrior starter noise

Got a question hopefully someone can help me with. Sometime's when starting I can hear a pretty nasty clank coming from the starter ( like it binded itself on a compression stroke), also sometime's when I shut it down I get that noise. My question is: " is the starter engaged while the engine is running? and doe's it use some type of starter clutch?" Any insight would be greatly appriciated. On another note, anyone know where to get the headlight assembly for a 2000 Warrior?
Thanks, Sabotage

Warriors do use a starter clutch and that noise is pretty normal. As far as a headlight assembly, I would just watch ebay or try something like BikeBandit.com.

I got to thinking that it might be somewhat of a normal thing, I had an Intruder that made a noise kind like that when you shut it down. The noise it makes sometimes when starting is what bothers me. Good call on the E-bay gig, I'll look around there and see what I can find. Thanks for the input.
Thanks, Sabotage

Can you flip the motor wires? That should reverse the direction of the motor.
