2006 Kodiak 450 4X4 Electronics Issue
#1
Hello, I am new here and am in need of some help with a Kodiak 450, 2006 model year. I was using it last week and the front bolt for the rear differential broke and it then moved upwards and disonnected the driveshaft. In the process it did a number on the Regulator. It got all torn up. I have it back together now (more details follow), but it will not bring up the display, lights, anything when the key is turned on. I can pull start it, and it will come on. I have taken the battery out and tested it, and it comes out A-Ok.
The regulator that was in it says G5.7.8 and I have a G4.9.1 and it doesn't work right still (all other letters and numbers on it match up), it only can be pull started, and the speedo readout is goofy, etc. I have to pull the front brake to get 4wd to engage/disengage. I am wondering if some more electrical components got fried in the process of the regulator getting whacked, or if I just missed something with my lack of knowledge.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
