Raptor is 2nd place already!

Well I could have went off the specs from the Bombardier site. Then it would have read:
DS650 = 48 hp @ 6,500 rpm
Raptor = 44 hp @ 6,800 rpm
400ex = 28 hp @ 6,900 rpm
Banshee = 39 hp @ 7,000 rpm
As stated, I was being conservative. In the case of the Raptor and DS650, I was undershooting Bombardiers figures by 6 hp.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist, or at least it shouldn't, to figure out that Cannondale is trying to play the numbers either. I posted my info for those who swallowed the numbers hook, line and sinker.

"Oh, that's an honest comparison. You simply add 10HP to what they consider to be true for the raptor, but let the others stay the same. Why didn't you added 10HP to every bike ? Or better yet, why didn't you added 30% to all the graphic figures."
Dude. what are you talking about? It is an honest comparison. No one needs to have a PhD in anything if ALL the aftermarket companies are dynoing the Stock Non-California Raptor between 36 and 38 Horsepower. I'm just stating facts. The reason I didn't add 30% to all the others is because that would be false(and I don't work for Cannondale or Bombadier). Anyways they probaly just fat-thumbed the key when they were typing it in. Facts my friend, just facts.

That funny(wishful thinking). Where is their factory located? I'll go there and sit in front of the fence just revving my Raptor and then we'll have a real shootout, no on will be paid here buddy. Anyways, I think that it's cool that a company is trying to make a pure racing quad right from the get go. Maybe it will coax everybody else into building better, more hi-tech atv's.

This is what I had figured as correction on the Cannondale tests. I posted this about a month ago or so on the Sport Quads section. This was a couple days after their #s were posted:
I did my own comparison and compensated for the weight increase on the other three and put the FX at 381 lbs. I won't dispute the dynamo #'s, beacuse everyone will have different results. This is what I came up with using C-dale's weights on the three quads and the corrected #'s for the FX:
1. FX400(381 lbs./33 hp) .087
2. DS650(499 lbs./37 hp) .074
3. 660R(420 lbs./28 hp) .067
4. 400EX(389 lbs./21 hp) .054
I do believe that the Raptor's #'s were less than actual as well. However, you would have to increase the Raptor by almost 10 hp to equal it with the FX's numbers. That's just the way I see it.
