Cool First time out

alright fellas i get my 03 kodiak 400 4x4 out for the first time since deer season to make sure it's ready for the summer riding season... starts up and runs fine for a couple hundred yards....i stop and then it feels like something is catching when i take off... almost like a brake was locked but no brakes were locked.....i give it gas again and i hear a clicking almost grind noise so i immediately stop.. take off again and everything seems fine... Im kinda nervous about taking it to the trails now... any suggestions?

where is the noise coming from? you might need to adjust your brakes they might be dragging. you should probably fix them soon cuz i have even seen some that were grinding like that and they eventually caught fire!

it really sounded like it was coming from the rear brake. Buddy of mine suggested the differential.. should I pull the rear brake apart and try and diagnose this myself? or is this something that the 80$ an hour boys are gunna need to fiddle with?
