Default 87 warrior electrical issues

I got an 87 warrior with a few electrical issues. I got this bike through the shop I work at, it was impounded so anything that was done before me I do not know about. The ignition switch and the reverse switch relay was cut off. Can I get an ignition switch from any year warrior, and plug it in to the 87 harness. Are there any other bikes that's ignition switch will work? I have 3 off the wires going to the ignition switch grounded and I can get spark.

Also, I have been trying to start the bike with a car charger because the battery is shot. The bike will turn over once or twice, but it acts like the charger doesn't have enough guts to turn it over anymore. If I put m hand over the carb it will turn over, but when I pull my hand away it acts like there's not enough juice. I am lost,

I don't think using a charger will give you enough amperage to start it up. You need to hook it up with jumper cables to a car battery or something to try and jump start it, or get a new battery and give it a full charge.

If I hook it up to my cars battery, should I do it with the car running? I have herd different opinions, one guy said hook it up to a car while its not running, another guy told me to not hook it up to a car battery at all. I think it will be fine while not running though.

Either way doesn't matter. They are both 12 volt systems and you can do it with the car on or off. Having it on will give you more juice, though.

Well I tried with the car off and it started. It just had enough juice to get it to crank over, if the car would have been running it would of started easier. If I have the jumper cables hooked up to the battery cables shouldnt I be able to start it with the button?

Yes as long as you have a good connection. Any it does at least sound like a new battery will take care of that issue.
