warriors have a timing chain adjuster on the side of the cylinder that automatically adjusts it, so if its loose then the chain is worn out and or the timing chain guides are also, if its like a slaping sound then thats prolly a timing chain, ticking sound most likely is valves, if it is knocking sound then thats usually a worn rod.

You better find that nut before it causes bigger problems such as a broken cam or gets into the valves. You need to take the head off and shake it around to get it out if you can't visually find or see it.

i agree with beefy try to find that nut. the adjustments are intake .06 - .10 mm or .00236 - .00394 in. the exhaust is .16 - .20 mm or .00630 - .00787 in.

ive actually had that happen before you dont need to take the head off, you should be able to pull the cam to get it, this is one of those times when u need a long magnet one of those skinny 2 ft long ones and fish around, mine has fallen off before and i was so close to getting it, but i ended up havin to pull them cam and there it was nestled in a corner, good to hear u got lucky and got it out, i think stock valve lash is .002/.004 intake and .006/.008 exhaust so somewhere i between those and it should be good.

Happened to me once too and I had no such luck in getting it out by pulling the cam, but that is definitely worth trying first.
