Default Warrior Air-Box

Sorry for so many questions and so few answers. The problem I have is that I can't get the lid off of my air-box. The threaded bushings or whatever they are in the bottom part of the box are just turning in place. So I can't back the bolts out. Is there anything I can do or will I have to get a new air-box? I really need to clean and oil my filter. Also would I be better off to get a new box or an externally mounted filter.

Again Thanks for any help.

Question

I dont know what to say to help get those bolts out, it would kinda suck to have to buy a new air box just because of those stuborn bolts, if your current one is in good shape,
maybe try to drill those blot heads out or cut em off ??? I believe if you installed just an air filter without the air box you would have to rejet the carb, good luck.

You can always drill the bolts out or just break the lid off in order to remove the screws with other tools. A lid isn't so bad to replace. I wouldn't get a new box for better filtering, get the K&N Pro Design clampon intake and it will work in the same airbox but provide a solid clamp on filter.

I may just take a Sawzall and cut the heads off the bolts and put my own in. I didn't even think about doing that.

Thanks for the help guys.
