Hey fellow Wolverine owners,
Those of you that have upgraded to larger tires, what size (front/rear) have you went to? I'm thinking of upgrading to say 25" tires but I need to know what size to get. I assume I will need to get new wheels also? What's the best for trail riding/rock crawling? .190 aluminum or steel? Thanks for any info....

I am running 25x9.5x12 TSL's on the front and 25x9.5x12 vampires on the back, these are on the stock wheels. Why do you assume that you have to get new wheels? The stock wheels are 12" in dia. and they are wide enough to mount any tire on, unless you want to run wide tires on the front. Really the only reason to get new wheels is if you want them. I have 2 almost new 25x12.5x12 TSL's that I used to have on the back, but they really hurt the power. I really like the vamps on the back, and the narrower tire is alot easier to spin.

Hey folks..

I still have the stock tires on my Wolv, but was looking to put the new Titan 589 MT's. Anyone currently running the 589's AT's?.

Let me know how they perform will ya?.

Thanx,

I've got 25" Bear Claws on stock wheels and they work real good. With the other mods I find that they are awesome. I don't find that there heavy at all and I can get them to spin with a small shot of the throttle.

To tell you the truth, I bought it with all mods on it including tires, so I don't know how they perform with stock components..

Hey bushbunny,
So you're running the SurTrac's on your stock wheels? That's awesome...those are the tires I've been looking at...they look nice. I didn't want to buy new wheels because the stock ones are fine to me....thanks for the info!

Howdy runningtaco...yes I'm using the stock rims..I find them good enough for what I need...you said something about rock crawling? theres a mod also for lightening up the clutch weights also...changes the stall speed of the clutch from 3000 to 3400 rpm....

Drilling holes at the ends of the clutch weight right? Thats how you change it to 3400 rpm instead of 3000 rpm.. I've read that in another thread I beleive but correct me if I'm wrong..
