Default question about warrior crank

i have 2 warriors. one runs great and has many upgrades. the other i bought from a friend for parts. he said he locked it up. i got it home and put in a new battery and a new plug. it crunk up! i couldnt believe it. i only gave 200 dollars for it. it knocks like crazy. i took it apart and the main bearing l0oks broke. would that make it knock in idle? thanks for the feedback

I would think so. The engine in my four wheeler was "locked up" when I got it. If I would mess with it for a while it would start but make a horrid knocking noise. Then the next time I went to start it it would be "locked up". I had a rod end bearing go out and it would just bind up sometimes. Everytime the cylinder goes through a cycle it is going to knock. That motor will probably need completely rebuilt.

sounds like a fried lower rod bearing... really the only way to blow a warrior up is neglect. either dirty, imporperly installed, or missing air filter. and low or no oil..

youll need to at least get the crank rebuild, new bearings, thrust washers and rod and stuff.
