Default 03 kodiak 450 problem

Hi. I have a 03 kodiak 450, and gas keeps on dripping from hose on the bottom of carberator. Can someone please help. I took the carb apart and checked the float, it springs up and down, but I cant seem to figure it out. Thanks

If your float sinks it might never close.

Like Traildad said, if your float felt a little heavy, it could be bad, slowly sinking and letting the bowl overflow, or it just could be out of adjustment, too high a float level will cause extra gas to drip out the overflow. My guess is the needle and seat is either dirty, or needs to be replaced. Get down to the parts shop and order a new set, and be done with it, when mine leaked, I wasted several carb tear downs trying to adjust and clean it, they looked fine, but still leaked. Put in a new needle and seat, and has not leaked in the last 3 years.
