Question Want more out of a Wolvy 350

Well, after being used to tearing around on my 450 and then jumping on the Wolvy for some riding Sunday, I have decided I want to push the ole Wolvy a little further.

I am looking at either trying a big bore kit for the current engine or swapping in a larger displacement engine from say a Big Bear 400.

Biggest thing I am looking to gain is bottom end to help get the 26's spinning easier. Don't want to try a regear because I need to keep the topend where it is.

I am not open to the idea of a bigger quad all together, because this one was primarily built for my wife. She is not comfortable on say a Grizz or similar, but the size/stance of the Wolvy is perfect for her.

Thanks for any info/input you got.

Pat

yea is this the old 350 wolvy with the same engine as a warrior or the newer wolvy 350 thats i think only 2wd?, i assume its older if so....depending how far you wanna take it the FST 446 kits make those things a torque monster, you could get a good pipe combo like FMF Powerbomb header and HMF sport pipe, or White Brothers E-Series...bore it .020 or .040 over and install a Wiseco or JE 10.25:1 piston....get a bigger cam Powroll Megacycle or Webb, better vavles and springs like Webb or Kibblewhites, K&N Clamp on filter kit, Edelbrock Quicksilver carb...porting definitely helps also, just depends how far you wanna take it, always start it off with the basic 3 though...pipe, filter, jets.

Sorry fellas, didn't realize my sig wasn't filled out.

It is a 2003 with a Wiseco piston, Pro Design intake and HMF slipon. I am going to look into the FST446 kits, I never really took the time to investigate them before this. Do you still retain decent reliability with them?

As long as you also put an oil cooler setup on it and take care of it there aren't really any reliability issues. But you are really getting into some serious money at that point. It's going to cost you in excess of $1000 for the BBK because of the machine labor involved with pressing out the old sleeve and pressing the new one in, and either you have to split the case or pay someone else to split it and take it all out because the bottom of the case has to be machined to allow for the longer stroke.
