wolverine problems

Default wolverine problems

i just picked up a 96 wolverine it ran but had no go took the carb apart found tha vacuum diaphragm was torn so i spent a 100 bucks on that now it runs decent but its poping back thru the carb and i cant keep a consistant idel speed andy ideas?

It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. It is possible that the diaphragm is not seated in the carb correctly. Also I would recommend checking the intake manifold (the piece that bolts to the cylinder head and that the carb is connected to) it is likely that it is leaking air causing the engine to run lean and have an unstable idle. The best way to check the intake manifold is to spray carb cleaner around it while the engine is running an see if the idle speed changes.
